I would have to say that everyone I’ve contacted was so pleasant and engaging in our conversation. I find more and more that there’s a strong sense of community support in the Grey Bruce area, which I find very refreshing.

Q: What services or products do you provide?
A: Barclay Wholesale is the area’s leading supplier of Janitorial, Sanitation, Packaging, and Hospitality Supplies for the Food Service Industry.  

We have a dedicated order desk staff to help you with your supply needs, and we work very hard to achieve complete customer satisfaction with every delivery.

We offer FREE weekly delivery in Bruce Grey and some surrounding areas. Eco-Friendly products and Nontoxic products are some of the many products we have to offer. Dispenser programs (paper and chemical) are available with FREE dispensers with installation.

We have an On Staff Service Technician to provide service calls or regular maintenance on your commercial equipment.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Over 40 years serving this area. 

Q: Who is your typical customer?
A: We love all customers! We have a wide range of customers from restaurants, butchers, bakeries, retail stores, offices, manufacturing facilities, arenas to customers who stop by to buy their toilet paper for their household with a quick chat.  

Q: What were a couple of your highlights since starting your business?
A: First, it would be adding the staff we currently have to our amazing Barclay team. They are a very hardworking and dedicated group. We couldn’t be more proud of each of them every day to keep this business moving and growing to be the best.

Second, in 2018 we went through our first acquisition of a local business to merge under the Barclay umbrella and in 2019, we acquired our second business. Both of these acquisitions were successful because everyone on the Barclay team worked together and gave 100%.    

Q: How do you attract customers?
A: Our vehicles proudly display our Barclay logo, and our newest van has images of the services we offer.

We have a Facebook page as well as an Instagram page.

We have Barclay brochures that we distribute to introduce our services to customers. 

Q: Do you currently ship products or provide services outside of the Grey/Bruce area?
A: Yes, we have a delivery route/run that delivers to the Dundalk, Shelburne, Orangeville and Caledon area.

We also have a retail line of products for Grocery Stores that we provide to the Orillia, Kitchener-Waterloo and Drayton, London, and Schomberg areas.  

Q: What changes have you made to your business due to covid?
A: Due to Covid, this is the first year we had to pull our salesperson on the road doing sales calls.

No shopping in our warehouse, only email or phone orders and curbside pick up.

We updated our website, and it has generated lots of inquires as people are choosing to shop online, during covid.     

Q: How did you initially hear about HAVE1.COM?
A: We have known about Have1.com for years.
