PREPARING YOUR ARTWORK FOR SUBMISSION
We review and check all files prior to production. A $25 set up fee is applied to all 1st run printing with print ready supplied artwork.
“Print ready” means that no changes will need to be made to the file. It has the correct colours, text, size and resolution. Resizing, reformatting, editing and creation of any artwork is an additional fee. Submitting print ready artwork will avoid delays and additional fees.
This list will help you submit print ready files for Have1.com
PREFERRED FILE FORMATS
We design with Adobe Creative cloud files (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.), but accept files made from any software.
Acceptable print ready files are:
PDF, EPS, SVG, TIFF, or a file native to Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop.
Unacceptable files are:
power point, word, publisher, low resolution pngs, or jpgs.
If these file formats are provided, the file may be rejected, or additional fees may apply.
Please note: downloading an image from the internet and/or social media and resaving it as one of the above outlined formats will not result in the end file being a vector. Your file may be rejected or subject to additional fees..
PREPARING YOUR FILE FOR SUBMISSION
For best results please do the following before submitting:
- Outline all fonts (keep a “working version” with the live fonts, incase you need further edits)
- Ensure all photos or raster images are embedded, or submitted separately.
- Make sure your document is in the CMYK colour space
- Have everything at 300 dpi or higher resolution.
- Include 0.125” bleed on all edges
Bonus! Provide a low res JPG with your submission for our reference.
We always provide you proofs before printing.
SUBMITTING YOUR FILES
Files under 25mb can be sent by email as an attachment.
Files over 25mb can be submitted via WeTransfer. (WeTransfer offers free transfers up to 2gb.)
We will also transfer files from USB stick and other file transfer devices as needed.
Any additional charges for design and/or setup will be communicated to you for approval, along with recommendations on how to move forward with your project.
MOST graphics copied from web pages are not of acceptable print resolution and may also be subject to copyrights.
Canva Pro users can export from Canva with bleed, and as SVG files. Google “how to export with bleed from canva” or “how to export as vector from canva” for walkthroughs.
